About The Tour
The goal of the Minor League Golf Tour is to provide an affordable training ground for aspiring players to hone their game.  Just like minor league baseball, The Minor League Golf Tour provides a place for those with a dream to keep on chasing it.

Our fee structure, payout formula and website are what makes our tour distinctive.
Inspired by personal experience and The Golf Channel's TV show, The Big Break, The Minor League Golf Tour was founded to help all aspiring golfers take their shot at playing professional golf.

A Low Cost Alternative
The Minor League Golf Tour is a low cost alternative to the developmental-mini tours like the NGA-Hooters, Golden Bear, and Grey Goose Gateway Tours.  By the time you add up qualifying and membership fees it ends up costing players more than a thousand dollars per event.  If you can shoot under par on a consistent basis--you should go play on one of these tours and take advantage of the extremely top heavy payouts.

BUT, if you are in the majority that keep on paying HUGE dollars for experience, stop wasting your money and come play with us.

We pay deep, not top heavy.
It makes sense that the major tours (PGA, Nationwide, European, LPGA, Champions) all pay top heavy.  The players earn and/or keep their status based upon the money list.  A small group of top players outside of these tours earn enough money playing golf to sustain their dreams on "developmental tours".  While it is good for them, it takes hundreds of players, many of them who never even make a cut, to support them.

Gain Experience
It can take 3, 4, even 5 years for a very good player to determine if their game can elevate to handle world class competition.  By playing on The Minor League Golf Tour you will be able to afford to play long enough to get the experience you need.

Tour Payout
On The Minor League Golf Tour 50% of the field earns a check.

The top quarter of the field (0-25%) ALWAYS earn a check for 100% of their entry fee.  Additionally, the majority of the remaining purse is distributed to these players by performance.

The next quarter of the field (25-50%) ALWAYS earn a check for 1/3 of their entry fee plus a portion of the remaining purse is distributed to these players by performance.

First Place Guarantee

1st Place with 20 Players = Entry Fee x 3
1st Place with 30 Players = Entry Fee x 4
1st Place with 40 Players = Entry Fee x 5

1-Day Events
Our 1-Day Events are low cost $130-$190per day tournaments that provide you an opportunity to sharpen your competitive skills.  The top 50% of the field earns a check and becomes eligible to compete in our "Major" events.  Your successful performance triggers a standing invitation to the next level, akin to minor league ball players getting "called up" to the Majors!

Majors
Our "Majors" are exclusively for players who have earned a check in a 1-Day Event or have shot under 80 on any professional golf tour.  These multiple day events are intended to test your skills against a higher level of competition AND allow you to play for a bit more money.  Our 50% of the field makes a check payout ensures that if you play well you will get something more than experience.
