GREAT ABACO, Bahamas - Adam Svensson from Surrey, British Columbia Canada won for the first time on the Tour this past week at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at The Abaco Club. He fired rounds of 68-67-68-68 (271) for a one stroke victory over Sungjae Im.

After narrowly missing his PGA Tour card last year, Svensson showed what he is made of by finishing top 15 in the first Tour event of 2018 and then winning the 2nd event of the year. This win doesn't lock up his PGA Tour card for 2019 but it is a big step towards it.

Svensson lives in Palm Beach Gardens and competes on the Minor League Golf Tour once in a while when he is home to keep his game sharp before heading back on to the road. He has played in 11 MLGT events over the past 2 years, winning twice and finishing top-5 three other times.
