PALM CITY, Fla. - Justin Hicks of Grosse Ile, Mich., fired a four
under par 68 to win a Minor League Golf Tour tournament Tuesday at
Hammock Creek Golf Club. He finished well with 32 on back nine
birdies at Nos. 10, 13, 15, 16 and 18 around a bogey at the 14th
hole. Overall, he made six birdies and two bogeys.
Jerry Chen of Union, N.J., tried to keep pace with birdies at 15, 16
and 17 and finished second at 71.
Natalie Tucker of Jupiter, a rookie with non-exempt status on the
LPGA tour, was among five players tied for third at 72. Playing the
same 7,100 yards as the men, Tucker birdied the par-3 12th and 14th
holes.
This was the 16th tournament of the year for the Minor League Golf
Tour. Next on the schedule: April 4, PGA National-Estate, Palm Beach
