ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. - Mike Adamson of Waynesburg, Pa., made his first Minor League Golf Tour victory a big one Tuesday, winning the inaugural Tour Championship at the Links at Madison Green.

Adamson closed with a one over par 73 on a windy afternoon and at 141 he finished a stroke ahead of the 20-player field. In 36 holes Adamson had nine birdies, four bogies and a double bogey the final round. He earned $1,200 from the $7,200 purse. His opening round of 68 was the only sub-70 score of the championship.

ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. - Mike Adamson of Waynesburg, Pa., fired a four under par 68 for the first round lead Monday in the first Tour Championship conducted by the Minor League Golf Tour.

Bidding for his first MLGT title, Adamson made three birdies and a bogey on each nine at the Links at Madison Green, playing its full 7,000 yards. His birdies were at Nos. 4, 6, 8, 10, 11 and 17, the bogies at the fifth and 13th holes. Adamson takes a three-stroke lead into the final round Tuesday.
