PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Justin Hicks of Royal Palm Beach birdied
the third playoff hole Tuesday on the Estate course at PGA National
to earn his second title on the Minor League Golf Tour.

Hicks was tied by Sam Spector of Boca Raton, who birdied the 18th
hole to pull even at six under par 138. They halved the par-5 first
hole with birdies and the par-4 second with pars. After Spector
missed a 20 footer from the right side of the green at the par-4
third, Hicks rammed home his six-foot birdie putt for the victory.

Hicks posted 65-73, Spector 68-70. Hicks' first MLGT victory came
March 29, 2005, at Hammock Creek in Palm City. He earned $1,040
            here, Spector $900.

Jason Powell of Louden, Tenn., was third among 26 players at
72-68-140, followed by former U.S. Amateur runnerup Steve Scott of
Royal Palm Beach with 76-66-142. Scott had a remarkable turnaround
which started after he was nine over par after the first 11 holes
Monday. He was 11 under par the last 25 holes.
