            STUART, Fla. - Michael Brice of Jacksonville birdied the first hole 
            and went on to post a 68 and win a Minor League Golf Tour event 
            Friday at the Florida Club.  
             
            Given an hour's notice after a cancellation in the 32-player field, 
            Brice made the half-hour drive north on Interstate 95 from Palm 
            Beach Gardens and scored his second MLGT victory, earning $340 from 
            the $2,210 purse. He added birdies at the eighth, 11th, 13th and 
            14th holes before closing with a bogey at No. 18 to win by two 
            strokes. 
             
            Brice's first MLGT win came on Nov. 9 at Sandridge Golf Club in Vero 
            Beach. He is a member of the Hobe-Sound-based Grey Goose Gateway 
            Tour, which is idle this week.
