LA QUINTA, Calif. - Brett Stegmaier, who has won 6 times on the GOLFslinger Tour, 4 times in 2012, earned his 2013 Web.com Tour Status on Monday by playing 6 rounds, 108 holes, at 10-under par at PGA Tour Qualifying school Finals. His T73rd finish put him just inside the next 50 (after the top 25 that earned 2013 PGA Tour Cards) that earn full 2013 Web.com Tour Status.
Stegmaier also won our 7th WEB.com $1,000 bonus contest in August and is 15th on the 2012 money list. Congratulations Brett!
Vince Covello also earned full Web.com Tour Status with his T27 finish---- 1 shot better and it would have earned him a 2013 PGA Tour Card.
2012 GOLFslinger Tour leading money winner Sunny Kim (with over $50,000) hovered right around even par until the 5th round where he shot 5-under par 67. He ended up at 1-under par for the 6 rounds and will have conditional status on the 2013 Web.com tour with Dan McCarthy, Alan Morin, Nate Smith, Derek Fathauer, Mike Welch, Matt Hill, Chris Wilson, and Michael Sims.
