We are pleased to announce that Robbie Dew, the owner of the MLGT's home course Abacoa Golf Club, is helping players try to achieve their dream of playing on the PGA Tour by donating $10,000 (for the 3rd time) to the MLGT in 2022 to sponsor the 2022 Monday Qualifer Contests!
Minor League Golf is a proven professional golf training ground that prepares players and provides a path up to status tours.
Minor League Golf will run 8 Monday Qualifier Contests in 2022. Each contest will consist of three consecutive one day events where the lowest total score will win a $1,000 bonus to go compete in a Korn Ferry or a PGA Tour Monday Qualifier. The player will be reimbursed the $1,000 as soon as they compete in the Monday Qualifier. The $1,000 will go towards the monday qualifier entry fee and travel expenses.
All winners will be reimbursed after they play in the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour Monday Qualifier.
Abacoa Golf Club is the home course of the Minor League Golf Tour and hosts 2 of our 4 majors, including the Annual Tour Championship.
In 2021 Abacoa Golf Club donated $10,000 to the MLGT. $8,000 was used to sponsor 8 Monday Qualifier Contests, $1,000 was added to Major II at Abacoa GC in April 2021 and $1,000 was added to the 2021 Tour Championship purse.
In 2019 Abacoa Golf Club donated $10,000 to the MLGT. $8,000 was used to sponsor 8 Monday Qualifier Contests, $1,000 was added to Major II at Abacoa GC in April 2019 and $1,000 was added to the 2019 Tour Championship purse.
Rules of Minor League Golf Monday Qualifier Contests
A Player can win more than one Monday Qualifier Contest per calendar year
There is no entry fee for the Contest, just the entry fees for the three one day events
