Zero Tolerance - Behavior unbecoming a professional
Players that don't adhere to this policy will face suspension from the Tour
Friday, March 15, 2024

In 2023 the MLGT had 918 members and ran 103 tournaments with one goal. To provide an affordable training ground for golfers to develop their game to try to earn status on a major tour like the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour.

There have been two instances so far this year where a player has damaged golf course property in anger during one of our events. Both resulting in a major strain on the relationship of those two venues. There is and will continue to be a zero tolerance policy for behavior unbecoming a professional. Any player behaving inappropriately will be suspended from the MLGT. There is no place for this. The majority of the venues that host our events do it as a favor to support tournament golf and help provide an avenue for players to develop their game to hopefully reach the next level. The MLGT and the participants in each event are guests of the host venue and will treat the course and the staff with the upmost respect. We have already lost a lot of venues due to the golf landscape in Florida being busier than it's ever been. We can't afford to lose more venues because of our player's behavior.

2019 US Open winner Gary Woodland said "There are going to be bad things in your life, a lot of ups and downs, but the only thing you can control is your attitude. And if you do that, in the end good things will happen."

Next time you face adversity on the golf course just remember that over 900 other players besides yourself rely on the MLGT to compete on to work on their game and everything you do and say affects the tour's relationship with the host venue. And without host venues there will be no tour.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter and play well!
