WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Michael Sweeney from Enfield, CT defeated Dylan Meyer 1up to win the 2022 Match Play Championship presented by Joey D Golf and Clubcraft.
Meyer birdied the 1st to take an early 1up lead. Sweeney birdied 4 to get the match tied. Bogies on 7 and 10 by Meyer put Sweeney 2up where he would stay until Meyer won 17 with a birdie to get to 1 down with 1 to play. Both men birdied the par-5 18th so Micheal Sweeney won 1up.
Sweeney earned $2,500 for the win, Meyers $1,500 for the runner up.

Dylan Meyer birdied 5 of his last 6 holes in the morning quarterfinal match to defeat Davis Shore 5&4 and then took down Lawren Rowe 2&1 in the afternoon to advance to the finals.
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Eight players remain after winning two matches on Tuesday. The top 2 seeds fell early on in Match Play. #1 Chris Wiatr lost to Michael Graboyes 3&2 in the round of 32 and #2 Mariano Medico lost in the round of 16 6&4 to Davis Shore.
#3 seed Piri Borja needed extra holes to close out Saptak Talwar and advance to the quarterfinals.
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - 47 players teed it up vying for one of the 32 spots in the Match Play bracket. Chris Wiatr from Woodbury, CT earned medalist honors with a 6-under par 65 during Monday's qualifying/seeding round.
Exactly 32 players finished at 2-over par and better and advanced to Match Play starting Tuesday morning.
The round of 32 matches are set for Tuesday morning followed by the round of 16 Tuesday afternoon. The quarterfinal will take place Wednesday morning followed by the semifinal Wednseday afternoon. The finals match will take place Thursday morning with the winner taking home the $2,500 first place check.
