BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Matt Springer of Palm City and Gary, Ind., fired a five under par 67 Tuesday on the East course at Indian Spring Country Club for his fifth victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour.
Springer, 28, made three birdies on each nine and a bogey at the par-3 ninth hole to win by a stroke. Tied for second at 68 among 22 players were Sunny Kim of Palm Beach Gardens and Derrick Bohannon of Jensen Beach.
Springer earned $1,000 from the $3,347 purse.
This was the landmark 900th tournament on the Golfslinger.com Tour, the 67th this year. It was known as the Minor League Golf Tour when it started in August, 2004.
There was $125 in the skins pot with 5 skins out worth $25 each.
