CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Ben Silverman of Palm Beach Gardens and Thornhill, Ontario, fired a five under par 67 with six birdies and a bogey Tuesday at the TPC at Eagle Trace to claim victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour.

Starting at the 10th tee, Silverman, 25, birdied the 12th and 15th holes and bogeyed the par-4 18th, then birdied Nos. 3, 5, 7 and 9 coming back on the front side. He made two birdies each on the par-3s, the par-4s and the par-5s.

It was Silverman’s third win since he started playing Golfslinger events two years ago. He received $1,000 from the $3,087 purse to raise his career earnings to $32,500.

Greg O’Mahony of Tequesta shot 69 without a bogey, carding three birdies, to finish second among 21 starters in the Golfslinger’s 77th tournament of the year. He collected $500.

There was $110 in the skins pot with 4 skins out worth $27.50 each.
