Jeb Buchanan wins first professional event with 3-under par 69
Sunny Kim and Greg Entimos tie for 2nd with 70

PALM CITY, Fla. – Jem Buchanan of Loudonville, N.Y., earned his first win as a professional golfer when he fired a three under par 69 Friday at The Evergreen Club. It was his third start on the Golfslinger.com Tour, all this week.

Buchanan started quickly on each nine with birdies at the first, 10th and 12th holes. He did not make a bogey and earned $1,000 from the $2,338 purse.

Earlier this week, Buchanan tied for eighth at Bear Lakes with par-72, earning $168.75, and missed the money list at Breakers Rees Jones, both in West Palm Beach.

Greg Etimos and Sunny Kim tied for second place with 2-under par 70.

Scott Marino and Tim Turpen tied for fourth place, earning Turpen the 10th and final $1,000 Monday Qualifer Bonus of 2012.

The Golfslinger’s 96th tournament of the year drew 14 starters. Three 18-hole events are scheduled next week: Monday, Jupiter CC; Tuesday, Bear Lakes CC; and Thursday, Jacaranda GC, Plantation.

There was $50 in the skins pot with 9 skins out worth $5.55 each.
