ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. – Sunny Kim of Palm Beach Gardens fired a five under par 67 Thursday at the Links at Madison Green to earn his 31st victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour, his fourth this year.
Kim did not make a bogey, scoring birdies at the first, fifth, eighth, 10th and 11th holes. He earned $800 from the $4,287 purse, raising his career earnings to $127,976.78 since he joined Golfslinger in October, 2006.
Kim finished two strokes ahead of Justin Peters of Stuart and Ben Silverman of Thornhill, Ontario, who tied for second in the 31-player field with 69s, receiving $600 apiece. Peters made five birdies, Silverman four. Both birdied Nos. 4, 5, 8 and 11, Peters adding one more at the 13th hole. Peters’ second bogey, at the par-4 18th hole, likely cost him solo second place.
Golfslinger plays three times next week: Monday, TPC at Eagle Trace, Coral Springs; Tuesday, Ironhorse CC, West Palm Beach; and Thursday, Country Club at Coral Springs.
