JUPITER, Fla. – Hernan Rey of Argentine birdied three consecutive holes midway through the round Tuesday at the Jupiter Country Club enroute to a four under par 68 and his 11th victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour.

After a birdie at the fourth hole, Rey added birdies at Nos. 9, 10 and 11 and played bogey-free golf on the rest of the course. He earned $775 from the $3,525 purse. Rey has career earnings of $32,815 since joining Golfslinger at the start of the 2007 season.

This was only his second Golfslinger start of the year, both in the past week, for Rey, who has a home in Jupiter as well as in Buenos Aires. His most recent win was on last July 9, also at Jupiter CC.

Eric Cole of Orlando tied for second place with D.J. Lantz of New London, NH and Christian Westhorpe from Toronto, Canada at 1-under par 71. Brad Tiley rode 2 eagles to a solo 5th place finish at even par.

There were 25 starters in the 54th tournament of the year, the 10th this month. The last event of May is scheduled Thursday on the Palmer course at PGA National.

There was $120 in the skins pot with 12 skins out worth $10 each
