WELLINGTON, Fla. – Scott Turner of Palm City shot his second straight bogey-free six under par 66 on the Golfslinger.com Tour and won for the second straight time Monday at The Wanderers Club.
After birdies at Nos. 1, 3 and 7, Turner finished with three birdies in a row, at 15, 16, and 17, receiving $750 from the $3,000 purse. Turner also won last Thursday on the Links course at Bear Lakes Country Club. He has seven victories and earnings of $36,174 since joining Golfslinger in June, 2005.
Golfslinger’s 80th tournament of the year drew 20 starters. Two more 18-hole events are scheduled this week: Tuesday, Jacaranda GC-East, Plantation, and Thursday, Breakers Rees Jones, West Palm Beach.
There was $100 in the skins pot with 8 skins out worth $12.50 each
