LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Zac Oakley of Lewes, Del., beat Brandon Smith of West Palm Beach by a shot Thursday, 64 to 65, for his sixth victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour. Each made seven birdies on the West course at Fountains Country Club, the difference being Smith’s bogey at the par-3 16th hole.

Oakley birdied Nos. 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 17. He received $900 from the $5,322 purse, raising his career earnings to $39,491 since November, 2006. Smith, second among 38 starters, had four birdies in a row starting at the ninth hole. Two of his 18 Golfslinger wins came before he turned pro in 2010. He collected $640.

Sunny Kim and Dan McCarthy finished tied for third place with 67.

Three 18-hole tournaments are scheduled next week including separate events Monday and Tuesday at Abacoa GC, Jupiter, and Friday at The Falls CC, Lake Worth. There is an option for players playing both days at Abacoa to enter a additional $100 - 33% payout event based upon their 2-Day total.

There was $160 in the skins pot with 4 skins out worth $40 each
