LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Dan McCarthy of Syracuse, N.Y., won his second straight Golfslinger.com Tour tournament Friday with a bogey-free four under 68 at The Falls Country Club. McCarty made two birdies on each nine, at Nos. 1, 8, 13 and 15.
McCarthy received $725 from the $2,560 purse, raising his career earnings to $48,317 since he joined Golfslinger in October, 2007. He also won Tuesday at Abacoa GC in Jupiter and has 14 tour victories overall.
Alfredo Adrian of Venezula, Eric Cole of Orlando, Will Coleman of Kensington, MD and Sunny Kim from New York tied for second place with 3-under par 69.
There were 16 starters in Golfslinger’s 87th tournament of the year. Three 18-hole events are scheduled next week: Monday, TPC @ Eagle Trace, Coral Springs; Wednesday, North Palm Beach CC; and Thursday, Jacaranda GC-West, Plantation.
There was $70 in the skins pot with 5 skins out worth $14 each
