LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Bobby Bode of Fort Lauderdale earned his first Golfslinger.com Tour victory Thursday, scoring a five under par 66 on the North course at Fountains Country Club. Bode made birdies at Nos. 1, 5, 6, 13 and 15 and did not make a bogey. He received $600 from the $1,950 purse.
Eric Cole of Orlando continued his strong play this week, finishing second among 15 starters with 67 on five birdies and a bogey. Cole was a Golfslinger winner Monday at Weston Hills CC and was second Tuesday at Abacoa GC. He collected $500. Mark Purrington of Dartmouth, MA had his best GOLFslinger finish (solo 3rd) of 2013 with a 3-under par 68.
This was Golfslinger’s 98th event of the year. The tour plays twice next week, Monday at Jacaranda GC-East and a 36-hole tournament Wednesday and Thursday on the Estate course at PGA National.
There was $50 in the skins pot with 4 skins out worth $12.50 each
