PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Tarik Can of New York City fired a four under par 68 Tuesday at Legacy Golf & Tennis Club to claim his first victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour. He got off to a quick start with birdies at the second, third and fourth holes and finished with six birdies and two bogeys.
Can received $925 from the $5,180 purse to raise his career earnings to $3,102 since March, 2012. It was his 14th start on the Golfslinger Tour, his fifth this year.
The 47th tournament of the year drew 35 entries. Next on the schedule: Thursday, The Falls CC, and Saturday, Fountains CC-West, both west of Lake Worth.
