JUPITER, Fla. – Wayne DeHaas of Johannesburg, South Africa, fired an eight under par 64 Tuesday at Abacoa Golf Club for his second victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour. His previous win was also at Abacoa on June 26, 2008, with a 67. Wayne received $800 from the $3,025 purse Tuesday, raising his career earnings to $11,683.
Eric Beringer tied for second place with Carl McCauley and Horacio Leon at 4-under par 68.
In a separate 36-hole event combining scores from 18-hole tournaments at Abacoa Monday and Tuesday, the winner was Horacio Leon of Santiago, Chile, adding 68 Tuesday for 130. Leon lost a playoff at 62 to Eric Cole of Orlando on Monday. Cole was second Tuesday on 70-132. Leon collected $750, Cole $600, from the $2,400 pot.
