PLANTATION, Fla. – Carl McCauley of Parkland birdied two playoff holes Monday to earn a Golfslinger.com Tour victory on the East course at Jacaranda Golf Club. It was his third Golfslinger win. He earned $610 from the $2,010 purse.
McCauley had finished regulation play with bogey on the par-4 18th hole. About 10 minutes later, Brad Adamonis of Coral Springs birdied the 18th to force a playoff at even par 71. McCauley and Adamonis birdied the par-4 16th from 4 and 20 feet. At the par-3 17th, McCauley birdied from 5 feet after Adamonis lipped out from 20 feet. Overall, McCauley made three birdies and as many bogeys. Adamonis had five of each.
Golfslinger’s 54th tournament of the year drew 14 starters. A 36-hole event is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday at Indian Spring CC in Boynton Beach.
