Chase Koepka leads the Q-School contest by 2 over Brandon Smith at the halfway point
Tuesday, July 19, 2016

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Time Cantwell from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, fires the best round of the tournament, a 6-under par 65, to win by one over Chase Koepka. Cantwell carded rounds of 69-65 for a 8-under par total of 134 on the Estates course at PGA National.

Cantwell has been fighting a back injury and decided at the last minute to give it a go here at PGA Estates. He was unable to compete in the 4-day Web.com Q-School contest as he had prior arrangements that conflicted with the second half of the contest.

Chase Koepka from West Palm Beach, FL, finished 2nd in the first 2-day event here at PGA Estates at 7-under par 135 but leads the way in the Web.com Q-School Contest. The contest is comprised of back to back two day events with the low 4 day score (of the players in the contest) earning a full paid entry into 2016 Web.com qualifying school. The second half of the contest is a 2-day event at Plantation Preserve Golf Course tomorrow and Thursday. Plantation Preserve will host 2nd stage of Web.com Q-School in November.
