WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Nathan Tarter of Mogadore, Ohio, making his first start on the Golfslinger.com Tour, came back the winner Monday with a seven under par 65 at West Palm Beach Municipal Golf Course.
Tarter, 24, bogeyed two of the first three holes (Nos. 1 and 3), turned in par-35 after birdies at 2 and 8, then added two eagles and three birdies on the last nine holes. He eagled the par-5 12th and 18th holes and birdied Nos. 10, 13 and 17. He earned $805 from the $4,560 purse.
Brad Adamonis won twice last week and finished 2nd with 67 here, followed by Justin Bryant from St. Louis, MO in third place with 68. Bryant, co-founder of golf crowdfunding website ProUknow.com is trying to help fellow golfers find sponsorship money to contine chasing the dream.
Both Douglas Ebe of Stockholm, Sweden and Kevin Goldstein of Melville, NY shot 3-under par 69 to tie for fourth place.
Golfslinger’s 119th tournament of the year drew 38 entries. Two events remain, Tuesday at Jupiter Dunes, a 27-hole Team Outing on a par-3 course with three separate nine-hole formats; and the Holiday Team Championship at Atlantis CC on Thursday. Play resumes for the 12th season Jan. 12 at TPC Eagle Trace in Coral Springs.
