CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Brad Adamonis of Cumberland, R.I., squeezed out a one-stroke margin Monday at TPC Eagle Trace for his eighth victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour. He shot a two under par 70 on five birdies (Nos. 2, 4, 5, 8 and 10) and three bogeys (1, 7 and 14) to finish one ahead of three players tied for second at 71. Adamonis received $700 from the $3,224 purse. Between multi year stints on The PGA and WEB.com Tours, Adamonis has earned $31,206 as a sporadic Golfslinger player since February, 2005.
Kristian Caparros of Hollywood, FL finished tied for 2nd with Matthew Jennings and Charlie Harrison of Atlanta, GA. Caparros turned pro last week.
The 116th tournament of the year drew 26 entries. Five events remain on this year’s schedule: Tuesday, Fountains CC, Lake Worth; Thursday, Martin Downs CC, Palm City; Dec. 15, West Palm Beach GC; Dec. 16, Jupiter Dunes GC, Par 3 Team Trilogy; and Dec. 18, Atlantis CC, Holiday Team Championship.
