Jimmy Lytle wins Q-School Contest #3 Finale in a 7 hole playoff
Chase Koepka wins the Web.com Q-School Contest by 3 shots at 11 under par

PLANTATION, Fla. – Jimmy Lytle of Ocean Ridge, FL, birdied the seventh playoff hole Thursday to beat Daniel Stapff of Curitiba, Brazil, in a Minor League Golf Tour tournament at Plantation Preserve Golf Course. They tied at six under par 136 on matching rounds of 69-67 and halved the first six extra holes with pars.

Lytle received $900, Stapff $650, from the $3,040 purse. This enabled Lytle to retain his status atop the career MLGT standings in both wins, 54, and earnings of $199,247. He joined the mini-tour in July, 2006 and won twice before turning pro in August, 2008.

By comparison, Stapff, a resident of North Bay Village, FL, has made two starts this week, one in 2014 and one in 2013, all at courses in Broward County. He was second here among 16 starters and has career earnings of $1,350.

In 36 holes, Lytle made nine birdies and three bogeys, Stapff 11 birdies and five bogeys. In a way, Lytle had four birdies in a row, the last two holes Wednesday and the first two Thursday. His winning birdie putt at the par-4 seventh hole was a four-footer.

This 2-day event at Plantation Preserve GC concluded the Minor League Golf Tour's 3rd Web.com Q-School contest this year. Chase Koepka closed with a final round 69 to finish at 11-under par 273 and win by 3 shots over Brandon Smith. Koepka earned a full paid entry in to 2016 Web.com Q-School.

Two tournaments are scheduled next week, a regular 18-hole event Tuesday at Abacoa GC and the summer team championship Thursday at Martin Downs CC.

PLANTATION, Fla. - Brian Fister from Lexington, KY, Daniel Stapff from Curitiba, Brazil, Jimmy Lytle from Ocean Ridge, FL, Chase Koepka from West Palm Beach, FL, and Brandon Smith from West Palm Beach, FL, all shot 2-under par 69 at Plantation Preserve Golf Course to tie for the lead in Q-School Contest #3 Finale.

Chase Koepka leads the Web.com Q-School contest by 2 shots over Brandon Smith. Koepka is at -9, Smith at -7. Sunny Kim sits in 3rd place at -3. The winner will recieve their 2016 Web.com Q-School entry fee paid for.

Plantation Preserve GC will host 2nd stage of Web.com Q-School in November. The course plays as a par 72 at 7148 for the members. The MLGT mirrored q-school's setup and the course played as a 7290 par 71. It is a great test for the players.
