WAIANAE, Hawaii - Nicholas Mason from Denver, CO, eagled the final hole for an even par round of 70 to follow his 67 on day 1 on the East course at Makaha Valley Country Club. His 36 hole total of 3-under par 137 earned him a 9 shot victory in the Minor League Golf Tour's Hawaii Holiday event.
Mason, 33, recently won the Hawaii State Open on the North course at Mauna Lani Resort on December 13th, then followed it up with 2 straight MLGT victories at Pearl CC on December 21st and here at Makaha Valley CC on December 27th and 28th. He earned $450 for his victory here raising his MLGT earnings to $810.
Tadd Fujikawa from Honolulu, HI, followed his opening round 71 with 75 and a two day total of 146, good for a solo second place finish.
Alvin Okada Sr. (a) won the Training Division with a 36 hole total of 153. With the victory came a $100 gift certificate.
