LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Double record holder Jimmy Lytle of Ocean Ridge, FL, birdied four consecutive holes on the inward nine Thursday enroute to a five under par 67 and his 56th victory, the most ever by anyone on the Minor League Golf Tour.

After three birdies and a bogey on the first 10 holes at the Palm Beach County owned Park Ridge Golf Course, Lytle, 30, birdied the 12th through the 15th holes, bogeyed the 16th and parred the last two to win by one. He collected $500 from the $1,980, raising his career earnings to $202,298, also an MLGT record.

Lytle joined the MLGT tour in July, 2006, and won twice before turning pro in August, 2008.

Brian Fister, 26, of Lexington, KY, second among 18 starters in the MLGT’s 75th tournament this year, earned $420 from the main purse and $232 from an optional bonus pool for a total of $652. He shot 68 with four birdies, two bogeys and an eagle at the par-5 12th hole, then parred the last six holes.

Trevor Sluman from Rochester, NY, making his professional debut, birdied the final 2 holes for a 3-under par 69 and a solo 3rd place finish.
