ATLANTIS, Fla. – Eric Cole of Orlando, FL, birdied four holes in a row midway through his round Tuesday at Atlantis Country Club enroute to a five under par 67 and his 33rd victory on the Minor League Golf Tour. After bogeys at the second and seventh holes which sandwiched birdies at No. 3 and 4, Cole birdied 8, 9, 10 and 11, adding one more at the par-3 17th hole. He received $450 from the $1,100 purse, raising his career earnings to $83,398 since August, 2009. Cole also pocketed $150 from the optional bonus pool and $30 in skins for a total of $630.

Brandon Smith of West Palm Beach, FL, and Greg O’Mahony of Tequesta, FL, tied for second at 68 among 10 starters in the MLGT’s 76th tournament of the year. Smith made five birdies and a bogey, O’Mahony six birdies and two bogeys. They collected $250 apiece.

Next on the schedule is a unique $100 entry fee tournament at Jupiter Country Club on Thursday. The top 33% of players will earn a check. The event will have an optional $100 bonus pool and $20 skins game for those players wanting to play for more than just the original entry fee.

The Minor League Golf Tour's final Q-School Contest is just 6 days away. The contest is comprised of back to back 2-day events. The first half will be held at PGA National Fazio Course on 9/12-13 and the second half will be held at Seagate Country Club on 9/14-15. The Minor League Golf Tour is guaranteeing a full paid entry into 2016 Q-school for the low 4-day score of those players entered in the contest. If more than 25 players participate in the contest, the extra money will go towards the 2nd place finisher's (in the contest) 2016 Q-school entry. The first 2-day event entry is $390, the 2nd 2-day entry fee is $290, and the Q-School contest entry fee is $200. Both of the 2-day events will have prize pools and optional skins games and optional bonus pools.

If you've already signed up and paid for Q-School you CAN still play in the contest. If you win, the Minor League Golf Tour will reimburse you for your Q-School entry fee. If you don't go to Q-School this year you CAN STILL PLAY in the Q-School contest. If you win, the Minor League Golf Tour will pay your entry fee into next year's Q-School.
