JUPITER, Fla. – Mike Miller of Brewster, NY, posted an error-free seven under par 65 Tuesday at Abacoa Golf Club for his third victory since joining the Minor League Golf Tour last February. Miller birdied Nos. 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 14 and 15. He collected $800 from the $3,820 purse and an additional $223 from an optional bonus pool for a total of $1,023.
Nicolas Cavero from Valencia, Venezuela birdied the final hole to post 68 and finish 2nd alone. Before his birdie on #18, he was in a 5 way tie for 2nd place.
The MLGT plays again Thursday at Martin Downs Country Club in Palm City followed by the West Palm Beach City Championship Pro Division this Saturday/Sunday at the historic West Palm Beach Golf Club. $590 entry fee with a $5,000 first place prize with 45 players. $3,000 first place guaranteed at any number of players.
