LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Team FIP member Chase Koepka of West Palm Beach, FL, made only one bogey in 36 holes and it wasn’t nearly enough to derail him enroute to his ninth win on the Minor League Golf Tour. Koepka shot 67-65—132 to win by three strokes. He made five birdies Wednesday, six Thursday. His lone bogey was at the par-5 18th the first day.
Koepka received $1,325 from the $6,460 purse plus $550 from an optional bonus pool and $97.44 from the skins game for a total of $1,972.44. This boosted his career earnings to $31,433 in less than 11 months. He won his first event as a professional and first MLGT start last June 9 at Atlantis Country Club.
Chase Koepka has been invited by his brother Brooks to play next weekend in the PGA Tour's Zurich Classic, the new team championship in suburban New Orleans. Brooks is a PGA Tour champion who played on the victorious U.S. Ryder Cup team last fall at Hazeltine in Minnesota.

Patricio Salem from Lima, Peru birdied the final 2 holes to add 69 to first round 66 for a 7-under par total of 135 and a solo 2nd place finish. He earned $1,050.
The Minor League Golf Tour's 2nd Major of the year is just 5 days away. It is a 36-hole event staged at Abacoa Golf Club on April 25th and 26th. The entry fee is $640 with 40% of the field and ties earning a check. First place will be $10,000 with 61 or more players or $6,000 with 45 or more players. LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Patricio Salem from Lima, Peru and Trevor Sluman from Rochester, NY open with 5-under par 66's at Atlantic National Golf Club to share the lead after day 1. Sluman went out in 31 and cooled off with 35 on the back nine. Salem overcame a bogey at the 4th hole with 6 birdies.
Chase Koepka and Justin Hicks both opened with 67 and enter the final round one shot back.
