PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Brian Richey from Lakeland, FL, wins the Minor League Golf Tour's Web.com Q-school Contest #5 by three strokes over Michael Buttacavoli. The contest consisted of back to back 2-day events with the low 4-day total score winning a full paid entry into 2017 Web.com Q-School.

Richey finished in a tie for 3rd in the first 2-Day event at PGA National Fazio with a 7-under par total of 137 (67-70). Richey shot 6-under par 66 in the 3rd round on the Fazio course at PGA National and entered the final round two shots ahead (-13) of Oscar Fraustro (-11). The 5th Web.com Q-School Contest got very interesting towards the end. Jacob Eggers started the final round 5 shots behind Richey. Eggers eagled the drivable par-4 15th hole to get to -8 on the day and one shot behind Richey. At that time, Buttacavoli was 2 shots behind. Eggers would drop 2 shots on the final 3 holes, Buttacavoli would play the last 3 holes even par, and Richey finished par-birdie-par to end up winning by 3 shots.
