PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Justin Hicks of Wellington, FL, overcame two double bogeys on his last four holes Wednesday to score his 35th win on the Minor League Golf Tour. Hicks finished at three under par 69 on the Champion course at PGA National, site of the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic each spring since 2007.

In winning by a stroke over the field of 10 players, Hicks made six birdies on his first 14 holes. Then he entered and exited the heralded Bear Trap with doubles, at the par-3 15th and par-5 18th holes. In between he carded a par-4 at No. 16 and birdied the par-3 17th. He earned $772.50, including $550 from the main purse, $177 in a bonus pool and $45.50 in the skins game.

Blake Morris from Waterbury, CT, finished just one shot behind Hicks with a round of 2-under par 70. He earned $380 for his 2nd place finish.

A big thank you to PGA National for working hard to get the course ready after Hurricane Irma came through South Florida just 3 days ago.
