LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Playing one group behind at the end of the field, Justin Hicks of Grosse Ile, MI, edged Steve LeBrun of West Palm Beach, FL, 65 to 66 on the Minor League Golf Tour Monday at Winston Trails Golf Club.
Hicks made four birdies on each nine and bogeyed the par-3 seventh hole and claimed his 37th career MLGT victory, 13th this year. LeBrun had four birdies on the front, three on the back, and a bogey at the par-4 16th. Both birdied the par-4 18th hole.
Hicks earned $580 from the $2,620 purse, $321 from an optional bonus pool and $88 in the skins game for a total of $989. LeBrun collected $630 for finishing second among 24 starters, $430 from the main purse and $200 from the bonus pool. LeBrun has 58 MLGT victories, one behind all time leader Jimmy Lytle.

The 100th tournament of the year, and No. 1,528 since the MLGT began in August, 2004, is scheduled Wednesday at the TPC Eagle Trace in Coral Springs.
