PALM CITY, Fla. – Luke Graboyes of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, sank a 10-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole Tuesday to earn his second victory on the Minor League Golf Tour. Graboyes and Sunny Kim of Queens, NY, tied at 10 under par 132 on the Osprey Creek course at Martin Downs Country Club. Kim was the first round co-leader Monday with 66. Graboyes had the low score of the tournament the final round, a 65.
In the playoff, both reached the green in two at the par-4 first hole. Kim missed his first putt from 25 feet, then Graboyes sank his for the win, receiving $2,000 from the $11,830 purse, raising his career earnings to $6,518. In 36 holes he made two eagles, nine birdies, a bogey and a double bogey. He won his first MLGT start Sept. 14 on the Champion course at PGA National. Kim, second among 45 starters, has 45 wins and $200,917 since joining the MLGT in October, 2006. In 36 holes here he had one eagle, nine birdies and one bogey, collecting $1,300.
The Tour Championship is only 7 days away. It will be staged at Abacoa Golf Club Tuesday-Wednesday December 5-6. If more than 60 players compete (which has happened the past 5 years) first place will be $10,000. The field is limited to the first 81 players that sign up so don't wait.

PALM CITY, Fla. - A pair of New Yorkers, Sunny Kim from Queens and Dan McCarthy from Syracuse, share the lead at 66 after day 1 on the Osprey course at Martin Downs Golf Club. Both men eagled the par-5 17th hole. Kim was bogey free, McCarthy had 2 bogies and 2 more birdies than Kim.
Four players are tied for 3rd at 67 just one shot behind the leaders including 2016 MLG Tour Champion Jamie Sindelar and Web.com Tour members Adam Svensson and Billy Kennerly. It should be a great finish on Tuesday.
16 players chose to enter the optional $150 bonus pool creating a side prize fund of $2,400 with the top 33% and ties earning a check.
