PALM CITY, Fla. – Mike Miller of Brewster, NY, claimed his second consecutive win on the Minor League Golf Tour on Thursday with an eight under par 64 at The Evergreen Club. The victory came two days after Miller won a 36-hole event Tuesday at PGA National. He lost in a playoff at the Tour Championship Dec. 6 at Abacoa Golf Club.
Miller has seven top-3 finishes in his last eight starts, boosting his career earnings to $27,461 since he joined the MLGT in February, 2016. He received $1,123 Thursday including $775 from the $4,062 purse and $348 from an optional bonus pool. He eagled the par-5 third hole, adding seven birdies and a bogey the par-4 14th hole.
Adam Svensson of Surrey, British Columbia, was a stroke back at 65, second among 35 starters. He had eight birdies and a bogey, receiving $520.
The two annual Holiday Team events remain for the MLGT's 14th season, the Par 3 Team Trilogy Monday at Palm Beach Par 3 GC and the Holiday Team Championship Wednesday at Atlantis CC.
