PALM CITY, Fla. – Jamie Sindelar made three birdies on each nine and had only one error Thursday at Monarch Country Club enroute to his 19th victory on the Minor League Golf Tour. He birdied Nos. 1, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 17 to overcome a bogey at the par-4 11th hole. At five under par 67, Sindelar won by a stroke over Brant Peaper of Tequesta, FL, who also had six birdies but made double bogey at the par-4 13th hole.
Sindelar received $520 from the $1,680 purse and another $150 from an optional bonus pool, raising his career earnings to $79,392 in five years. He joined the MLGT on Oct. 1, 2013. Peaper collected $400 from the main purse, $100 from the bonus pool and $20 in the skins game. Peaper has collected $34,605 since October, 2014, winning twice.
Sunny Kim of Queens, NY who won the last two MLGT tournaments, on Aug. 23 and Aug. 27, shot 75 Thursday, missing the money by three strokes.

The final Qualifying School Contest of 2018 is just 14 days away! It will be a 36 hole event Wednesday and Thursday September 12-13 at Jupiter Country Club. The entry fee for the 2-day event is $390 with 40% of the field earning a check with an optional $200 Qualifying School Contest presented by Joey D Golf and ClubCraft where the low score will win $4,500 (guaranteed) to put towards the Q-School entry of their choice. You can play in this event if you are already signed up for Q-School. The 1st place prize of $4,500 is a reimbursement once you start Q-School.
