Justin Hicks of Grosse Ile, MI wins 2019 Monday Qualifier Contest #6 presented by Abacoa Golf Club with a 3-event cumulative score of 201 (69-64-68). The contest consisted of the three 1-day events played this week at The Falls Club, Abacoa GC and Jupiter CC.
Hicks entered the final round tied at -11 with Matt Holuta and three shots clear of Mike Kartrude. Holuta's double bogey on #8 derailed his chances. Hicks entered the back nine with a one shot lead over Kartrude. He would birdie 10, 14 and 16 to take a 2 shot lead to the final 2 holes. He would bogey the long par-3 17th while Mike made par. With Hicks one shot ahead both men parred #18 leaving Hicks the winner.
Hicks wins a $1,000 bonus for his fine play this week to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
