PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Mexico City’s Oscar Fraustro had three birdies on each nine, threw in a bogey at the par-3 seventh hole, and held on Tuesday at St. Lucie Trail Golf Club for a five under par 67 and his fifth win on the Minor League Golf Tour. Fraustro received $675 from the $2,500 purse and an additional $150 from an optional bonus pool to raise his career earnings to $23,515 since February, 2017.
Fraustro has his Web.com Tour card for 2019 and is home on a three week break from the Tour. The MLGT is a great way to stay sharp in between bigger events.
A stroke back at 68, second among 19 starters, was Bryce Emory of Aurora, IL, on seven birdies and three bogeys, followed by Jeremy Grab, Daniel Island, SC, with four birdies and a bogey for 69.
The MLGT finishes the month of February with its 21st tournament of the year Thursday at Jupiter Country Club.
