ATLANTIS, Fla. – Blake Morris of Waterbury, CT, holed a 30-foot chip shot from right of the 10th green, the first hole of a playoff, to win a Minor League Golf Tour tournament Thursday at Atlantis Country Club. Morris out-finished Jacob Eggers of Boone, NC, after they tied at three under par 69. Moments later, Eggers missed a 25-foot birdie putt that would have sent the match to the 11th hole. It was Morris’ fourth MLGT victory, his second this month. In regulation, Morris made four birdies and a bogey, Eggers five birdies and two bogeys. Morris earned $570, Eggers $430, from the $2,040 purse. Each received $125 from an optional bonus pool.

Monday Qualifying School Contest #4 starts on Tuesday 5/28 at Abacoa Golf Club. It continues Wednesday 5/29 at Florida Club and ends Thursday 5/30 at Fountains CC. All three days are seperate one day events but the player with the lowest cumulative score will win a $1,000 bonus to play in a Monday Qualifier and try to play their way up to the next level.
