BOCA RATON, Fla. – Only two players entered the MLGT event Tuesday at the city-owned Osprey Point Golf Course and it still took 20 holes to determine a winner. Jose Luis Montano of Cochabamba, Bolivia, edged Marc Mazza of Palm Beach Gardens, FL with a two-putt par 4 on the second extra hole after they tied at three under par 69 on the Falcon and Raven nines. Each made four birdies and a bogey in regulation. It was Montano’s fourth MLGT start, all this month, and his first win as a professional golfer. He earned $350 plus $20 in skins for a total of $370.
The MLGT’s next tournament is on Thursday at Seagate CC in Delray Beach.
