PALM CITY, Fla. – Blake Morris of Waterbury, CT, earned his fifth victory on the Minor League Golf Tour with a six under par 66 Thursday at Banyan Creek Golf Club. Morris made five birdies and a bogey on the front nine, two more birdies on the back, to win by three shots. He received $650 from the $2,110 purse and an additional $150 from an optional bonus pool, raising his career earnings to $37,671 since he joined the MLGT in February, 2016.
Sunny Kim from Queens, NY, Tim Hegarty from Briarcliff Manor, NY, Marc Mazza from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Brant Peaper from Tequesta, FL and Rasmey Kong from North Haven, CT tied for second at 69. Kong was -7 through 11 holes but had a tough last 5 holes coming in.

Monday Qualifying School Contest #6 is just over two weeks away. It starts on Monday 7/29 at The Falls Country Club. It continues Tuesday 7/30 at Abacoa Golf Club and ends Thursday 8/1 at Jupiter CC. All three days are seperate one day events but the player with the lowest cumulative score will win a $1,000 bonus to play in a Monday Qualifier on either the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour and try to play their way up to the next level.
