JUPITER, Fla. - Mike Kartrude from Royal Palm Beach, FL did not make a bogey at Jupiter Country en route to his 5th win on the MLGT. He went out in 4-under par 32 and added birdies at 12 and the difficult par-4 15th which ended up being the deciding birdie. He earned $670 from the $3,135 purse.
Eric Cole from Orlando, FL posted 67 and had to wait to see if it would be good enough. He would end up one shot short but earned $500 for solo 2nd plus $232 from the optional bonus pool and $88 from the skins game for a total of $820. Cole has been one of the hottest players on the MLGT this year winning 6 times and finishing in the top 5 ten more times.
This event was the conclusion of Monday Qualfying School Contest #6 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The player with the lowest cumulative score from the three 1-day events this week won a $1k bonus to compete in a Monday qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
