CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Finlay Mason earned his first victory as a professional golfer Monday with a six under par 64 in Minor League Golf Tour play at the Country Club of Coral Springs.
Mason got off to a slow start with a birdie at the par-4 12th hole as the 22-player field started at the 10th hole. He turned in 33 and finished with five birdies on the front nine, at Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 9, winning by one over Eric Beringer of Philadelphia, PA at 65.

The winner is from Sutton Coldfield, England, home of The Belfry, headquarters of the British PGA. Mason, 23, earned $675 from the $2,965 purse. Beringer received $680, including $530 from the main purse and $150 from an optional bonus pool.
The MLGT plays Wednesday at the Sandhill Crane Golf Club and Thursday at Jupiter CC.
