Carson Klawonn of West Palm Beach, FL wins 2021 Monday Qualifier Contest #7 presented by Abacoa Golf Club with a 3-event cumulative score of 206 (68-68-70). The contest consisted of the three 1-day events played this week at PGA Estate, Abacoa GC and Fountains West.
Klawonn entered the final round tied with Mike Kartrude two shots behind Piri Borja. Borja had a tough final round shooting 75. Kartrude was one shot ahead entering the final hole but an errant tee shot led to an 8 on the par-4 18th opening the door for Klawonn. Klawonn would birdie the last and win by 3 shots.
Klawonn wins a $1,000 bonus for his fine play this week to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
