PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Brant Peaper of Tequesta, FL birdied four straight holes on the front nine Tuesday to set up a seven under par 65 and his eighth win on the Minor League Golf Tour.
After starting birdie-par-bogey at St. Lucie Trail Golf Club, Peaper birdied the fifth through eighth holes to turn in 32, then added four more birdies and another bogey on the back to win by four strokes. He earned $675 from the $2,880 purse and another $150 from an optional bonus pool. This raised his career earnings to $54,943 since he joined the MLGT in October, 2014.
Boynton Beach amateur Nicklas Staub was second with 69 on five birdies and two bogeys, his best finish in five MLGT starts.
