PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Jon Curran of Jupiter, FL overcame a double bogey at the 17th hole Tuesday to score his 11th victory on the Minor League Golf Tour. Playing the Champion course at PGA National, Curran scored 67-69—136 to win by a stroke. He earned $2,000 from the $13,780 purse, an additional $462 from an optional bonus pool and a $5k bonus to use for his Qualifying School entry fee in 2021.
Tied for second at 137 among the 51 starters were first round leader Brant Peaper of Tequesta, FL 65-72, and Brazilian Rodrigo Lee, 68-69. They received $1,450 apiece from the main purse with Peaper earning an additional $390 from the bonus pool.
17 of the 51 players chose to enter Qualifying School Contest #3 presented by Joey D Golf. Curran earned $5k to put towards his Q-School entry fee in 2021.
Nick Branchina won $150 in the 2nd day shootout with a score of 70.
