STUART, Fla. – Luke Graboyes of Watchung, NJ, has won twice in a row and three of his last four starts. The older of two brothers on the South Florida mini-tour, Luke fired a six under par 66 Monday at The Florida Club.
Last Thursday at St Lucie Trail Golf Club in nearby Port St. Lucie, the elder Graboyes was low at three under 69 and now has seven MLGT titles. He received $850 for each win and an additional $250 Monday from an optional bonus pool. He has career earnings of $31,047 since joining the tour in September, 2017.
Luke made eight birdies and a pair of bogeys to edge Matt Holuta of Indiana, PA, who was second at 67 on six birdies and a bogey. Holuta has two MLGT titles and has earned $6,359 since May, 2018. He collected $600 from the $5,400 purse here.
This was the first of three one-day tournaments this week which comprise the second Monday Qualifier Contest of the year. The low professional over the three days will receive $1,000 toward a Monday Qualifier this year on either the PGA Tour or the Korn Ferry Tour. Tuesdays event is at Plantation Preserve and Wednesday at The Fox Club.
