PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Josh Hart of Jupiter, FL made back-to-back birdies three times Monday on the Estate course at PGA National enroute to his 13th win on the Minor League Golf Tour. Hart edged Sunny Kim of Queens, NY, 66-to-67, scoring birdies at Nos. 7-8, 11-12 and 17-18. The winner had one bogey, at the par-4 second hole, and earned $700 from the $3,190 purse and an additional $214 from an optional bonus pool.
Kim, the MLGT’s all-time money leader, had five birdies and a bogey, collecting $550 from the prize fund and $100 in skins. This boosted his career total to $261,284.
Today was day one of Monday Qualifier Contest #3. Tuesday's event at Abacoa GC and Wednesday at Indian Spring will finish the contest where the professional with the lowest 3-day cumulative score will win a $1k bonus to compete in a Monday qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
