PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Luke Graboyes of Watchung, NJ, fired back-to-back eight under 63's to win by eight strokes Thursday in a Minor League Golf Tour tournament on the Estate course at PGA National.
The older of two brothers who play regularly on the MLGT, Luke, 25, made eight birdies Wednesday, six more before closing with an eagle at the par-5 18th Thursday. He did not have a bogey in 36 holes, totaling 126.
Graboyes received $1,700 from the $8,785 purse plus $464 from an optional bonus pool and $180 in the skins game for a total of $2,344. It was his 9th career win since September, 2017, his fifth this month.
Tied for second among 31 players at 134 were Sunny Kim of Queens, NY, who made a deuce at the par-5 18th Wednesday, holing a 205-yard 6-iron to go with one eagle, 6 birdies and 3 bogeys; Jon Curran, Jupiter, FL, an eagle, 10 birdies and 4 bogeys; and Chris Wiatr, Woodbury, CT, one eagle, 10 birdies, 2 bogeys and a double bogey.
Nick Branchina won $150 in the 2nd day shootout with a score of 67.

Career money leader, Sunny Kim, sat in the 18th fairway 205 yards away even par for the day. His 6 iron found the bottom of the hole for an albatross 2 on the 525 yard par-5. It was his 3rd double eagle in his career.
